Common questions

Do I need a separate account for Gaffer?

No. Gaffer has no accounts of its own. You sign in with the Fantasy Premier League accounts you already have.

Does Gaffer see my password?

No. Signing in happens on the Premier League's own login page, shown inside the app. Gaffer receives only the session that page returns, and stores it in your device's Keychain.

How do I add another team?

Tap the team pill at the top left, then Add another account, and sign in with that account. Repeat for as many teams as you run.

I added an account but it says "waiting for a squad"

That account hasn't picked a team on Fantasy Premier League yet. Gaffer can't create a squad for you — pick one at fantasy.premierleague.com, and Gaffer adopts it the next time you open the app.

It says my session expired

FPL sessions eventually stop working, usually after a password change. Open the team switcher and tap the account showing the warning to sign in again. Your team, nickname and settings are kept.

Why can't I change my team?

Once a gameweek deadline passes, Fantasy Premier League locks the team until the next gameweek opens. Gaffer shows a banner when that's the case.

Are my changes really saved to FPL?

Yes. Lineups, captains, transfers and chips are written to your real FPL team, exactly as the official site would. Transfer plans are the exception — those are private notes on your device and are never sent anywhere.

Deleting your data

Removing an account inside Gaffer deletes its stored session immediately. Deleting the app removes everything else.
